This course is an introduction to green roof construction, installation, and maintenance. Topics include green roof benefits and incentives, planting types, waterproofing, roof membranes, drainage, horticulture, and irrigation. Two working site visits to local green roof projects are included. Through hands-on learning, students will become prepared to design and install a green roof.
