36 hours,

Air Source Heat Pumps provide a cost effective clean alternative to conventional heating and cooling methods for single and multi-family residences. This efficient technology makes deep cuts in heating and cooling budgets and cuts your customer’s carbon profile: a win/win for your business and the climate. In this training, participants will become familiar with the operations and maintenance of ASHP systems, learn to perform routine maintenance, and receive a checklist of tasks that should be performed on an annual basis by an Air Source Heat Pump Operations and Maintenance Professional. Build your business and help New York State to achieve its GHG emissions reduction goals of 40% reduction of GHG emissions by 2030 and 85% by 2050

Heat pumps move heat rather than convert it and can heat and cool a building year round. At this workshop, Nicolas Salcedo, from Ice Age Mechanical, will provide expert instruction about how heat pumps work and how to perform routine and annual maintenance.

By the end of this training attendees will be able to:

  • Explain how a heat pump operates
  • Understand the factors that affect heat pump performance
  • Perform the common inspection and maintenance procedures for ASHP systems
