This course focuses on the essentials of Networking, Network communication methods, Network Data Delivery, Network Media and hardware, Network implementations, Networking with TCP/IP, TCP/IP Services, more Network Protocols, LAN Infrastructure, WAN Infrastructure, Network Security, Remote Networking and Network Operating Systems Windows (2003/2008) server. There would be many hands-on lab exercises during the course time. The hands-on lab work would include, setting up and configuring a functional network: LAN cabling, installing Windows Server, Windows workstations, setup Protocols-TCP/IP and utilities, creating users accounts and print sharing. Strong dexterity and eye/hand coordination abilities required. Textbook expense approximately $75.
Prerequisite: CRS 101 or equivalent.
