The rules of the City of New York require that a Fire Safety Director, certified by the New York City Fire Department, be on duty at most “Class E” office buildings and “Class J” hotels and motels. This Course is approved by the New York City Fire Department as a required preparatory course for the Consolidated Fire Safety Director Certificate of Fitness. This consolidated course includes a review of relevant material to both Local Laws 5 and 16, and J-1/ J-2 occupancies.
