This class prepares students to take PVI 202 Entry Level PV Design & Installation. Students will learn to understand power, current voltage, resistance, Ohms Law and Watts Law and will create the types of complex math calculations that are used to design and install Solar PV systems. This course provides an excellent foundation for the conceptual and practical skills needed to work in the Solar PV field. Hands-on training at our working Solar PV Training lab combine in-class lectures and practical system design calculations to prepare students for our NABCEP Photovoltaic Associate class. This essential class is part of our core Solar PV training and accounts for our high PV Associate exam pass rate.

Basic Electric Calculations for Solar PV is required for entry into the PVI 202 NABCEP Entry Level class except with  permission from the coordinator. For information contact dsalomon@citytech.cuny.edu
