This course provides hands-on applications and instruction in the areas covered by A+ Certification tests. It includes operating system fundamentals—Windows Server 2003, DOS commands, batch files, as well as a review of Microsoft Word & Excel. Hardware issues covered include; the system board, managing and upgrading memory, troubleshooting memory, hard drive installation, support and troubleshooting, data recovery, troubleshooting tools and guidelines, supporting I/O devices, multimedia technology, and supporting Windows XP Window 7. Additional expenditure of approximately $120 in textbooks and personal tools will be needed for this course (and others to follow).  Prerequisites: Basic computer application skills required.
